F3 New Orleans
At multiple points around the New Orleans area, starting each day at 5:30am in what we call The Gloom, various groups of men gather for forty-five minutes of Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith (F3). F3 groups have graced areas of Mid-City, Uptown, Metairie, the Northshore, Lakeview, the Westbank, Kenner, Thibodaux, and Baton Rouge since 2014. The workouts are structured in a manner that promotes self-improvement and camaraderie, and it always ends in a community fostering circle of trust. What happens in those forty-five minutes, however, is not so simple. Bodies are broken and built back stronger, spirits are fortified, friendships are made, and the men leave the beat-downs better than when they arrived.
We believe in 5 core pricinples for our workouts:
- They are open to ALL men, regardless of age, fitness level, creed, race, or any of the other features that are too often used to divide us.
- They are always free. Save your money currently spent on fitness facilities.
- They are peer-led. How do you pay for the workout? By committing to lead the workouts. Don’t know how to do that? Don’t worry! None of us do either!
- They are always outside. Enjoy the rain, the shine, the heat, the cold. Move out of comfort and face whatever elements await you.
- They end with a Circle of Trust, where men share their thoughts, feelings, challenges, hopes, and/or aspirations.
These workouts will challenge you and help you grow – not only physically, but emotionally, mentally, faithfully.
Leave no man behind. But leave no man where you found him.
